  • The  picture  alongside  depicts  the  Swamy  Brindavanam  as  it  existed  since  it's  original  construction  in  late  1950's   .
  • Subsequently  in  the  1980's  the  Secretary  of  the  Sri. Thillasthanam Swamy Kainkarya  Sabha  , Bangalore  Sri. V.R.Narasimhan  took  it  upon  himself  to  construct  a  compound  wall  , Gate  and  install  inscriptions  on  the  walls  to  give  the  Brindavanam  a   better  aesthetic  look  .
  • Subsequently , at  the  request  of  the  Sabha  , Sri  Ahobila Mutt  has  taken  over  the  administration  of  the  Swamy's  Brindavanam  and  has  also  appointed  a  Aradhakar  for  performing  nitya  pooja  at  the  Brindavanam .

  • The Swamy  Brindavanam   badly  needs  renovation  and  sprucing  up  plus  the  bulk  of  Brindavanam  is  in  open  area  as  can  be  seen  in  picture .

  • Since  the  Brindavanam is in the open  and  only  border walls covering  the  area and  with  no  proper flooring , as  a  result  the  area  gets  covered  up  with shrubs , grass  and  other  plant every  year  . Further  the  Brindavanam  is  so  located  that  there  is  about  400  - 500 Sq.ft of  area  available  in  the  front  as  can  be  seen  in  sketch  below .

  • The  Aradhakar  appointed  by Sri Ahobila Mutt has  been  requesting that  the  wild  growth all  around  the  Brindavanam is  making  entry  into  Brindavanam  difficult  due  to  presence  of  snakes .This  view  of  the  Aradhakar  is  also  endorsed  by  Sri Ahobila Mutt and  also  the  visitors  to  the  Brindavanam .

  • Sri Thillasthanam  Swamy Kainkarya  Sabha  decided  to  undertake  the  Brindavanam Renovation  works  , however  since  the  funds  at  the  command  of  the  Sabha  are  quite  meagre  the  Sabha  decided  to  launch  an  appeal  in  April 2014  to  all  well  wishers  and  patrons  of  the  sabha  to  contribute  for  this  noble  cause  and  collect  the  funds  . Donations  are  trickling  in  but  still  the  Sabha  is  short  of  the  anticipated  budgetted  cost  for  completion  of  the  works  .

Image description
  • The  proposed  renovation  works  involves  the  raising  of  the  height  of  the  frontal  area  to  avoid  water  logging  , raising  the  height  of  the  Swamy Sannidhi  , flooring   and  repair  and  where  necessary  rebuild  the  compound  wall  . It  is  also  proposed  to  have  a  covered  steel  truss sheet  roofing  The  total  cost  of  all  these  works  is  expected  to  be  around  Rs  5.0  Lakhs  .
  • The  work  has  been  awarded  already  to  a  local  contractor  working  for  the  Sri. Ahobila Mutt .

  • Before  the renovation work at Thillaisthanam swami’s brindavanam  was  commenced  on an auspicious  date  the Aradhakar  moved  Swami’s Divyamangalamurthi (Moolavar) to Sri. Adhivan Sathakopan Swami’s Sannidhi  inside  Sri Dasavatharan Sannidhi where  the  nitya kainkaryam  continues .
  • After  the  shifting  of  HH  Sri Swami's  Divyamangamurthi  ,  the  work  was   started   on  the  site  and  reasonable  good  progress  has  also  been  achieved  by  the  contractor  .
  • A  few  pictures  of  the  progress  achieved   are  given  below  .

  • The  Sabha  requests  all  well  wishers  /  patrons  to  come  forward  and  donate  for  this  noble  cause  . All  cheques  may  please  be  made  in  favour  of  Sri. Thillasthanam Swamy  Kainkarya  Sabha  and  sent  to  the  Sabha  address  . For  further  details  or  any  queries  please  contact  Sri.
